After a year and a half of development, the long-awaited update is complete! This massive update has so many changes that a full changelog isn’t feasible—everything has been revamped!

Important Note

Save files from version 1.9.4 are not compatible with 2.0. You’ll need to start fresh and experience the game from the beginning. Here’s a sneak peek of the most exciting new features, but you’ll discover plenty more as you play!

Pokemon R.O.W.E is an attempt to create an open-world Pokemon Emerald with QoL changes and a high replay value, with diverse team building as the primary goal.

  • Reworked Dewford town with a brand new look
  • Added a way to see the Enemy Exact HP
  • Made the Trainer Skill Menu easier to understand
  • Added a way to reset trainer skills for 25BP
  • Changed the Reset EVs and Edit Evs function to let you redistribute the EVs you already have free of charge, if your trainer skill is higher then it will use that instead, it also tells you how many EVs you have left to redistribute
  • Disabled the forced level cap for Easy mode
  • Added Exp, HP and Friendship Bar to the summary screen

      • Now uses the Defense Stat to calculate the damage and has a 95% accuracy.
    • Scizor – Metal Claw:
      • Becomes a 90BP move that now has a 20% chance of increasing the user attack stat and ignores the target defense stat changes.
    • Mega Scizor – Metal Claw:
      • Becomes a 100BP move that now has a 20% chance of increasing the user attack stat and ignores the target defense stat changes.
    • Heracross – Mega Horn:
      • Becomes a 95 BP move with 95% accuracy that traps the target.
    • Mega Heracross – Mega Horn:
      • Becomes a 100 BP move with 95% accuracy that traps the target.
    • Ludicolo – Rain Dance:
      • It becomes a 75BP special move that always sets up rain and hits both targets.
    • Gible – Bite:
      • Becomes a Ground-type move that ignores target stat changes.
    • Gabite – Crunch:
      • Becomes a Ground-type move that ignores target stat changes.
    • Garchomp – Dig:
      • Becomes a 55BP priority move that charges in one turn and ignores defense changes.
    • Mega Garchomp – Dig:
      • Becomes a 60BP priority move that charges in one turn and ignores defense changes.
    • Honchkrow – Beat Up
      • Becomes a 25 BP move that can lower the target’s defense stat.
    • Zweilous – Dragon Breath
      • Becomes a 45 BP move that hits the target 2 times.
    • Hydreigon – Dragon Pulse:
      • Becomes a 30 BP move that hits the target 3 times, can paralyze the target.
    • Kleavor – Hammer Arm:
      • Becomes a 75 BP Rock-type move sets up Stealth Rock when used and no longer lowers the user speed, can flinch the target.
    • Ceruledge – Slash:
      • Becomes a 90BP Fire-type move that restores the user’s HP by half of the damage dealt and can burn the target.
    • Armarouge – Fire Blast:
      • Becomes a 120BP move with 100% Accuracy that lowers the user Defense stats and its super effective against Water types.
    • Wugtrio – Dive:
      • Becomes a 35 BP move that hits the target 3 times, can flinch the target.

  • Where can I find [Evolution Stone]?
    – All the evolution items are sold in Lilycove Dept after you get 4 badges.
  • Are every Pokémon Available in this game?
    – Every Pokémon is available in some form with the exceptions of some Mythicals and Legendaries that are going to be added to the game in a future update.
  • What is the Surprise Me Option in the starter selection?
    – It gives you any First Stage Pokémon randomly(the only exceptions are mythical and legendaries).
  • How can I evolve Pokémon that evolve by trade?
    – Go to the Name Rater house in Slateport, talk to the Tradeback Guy, and chose the Pokémon you want to evolve.
  • How many badges do I need to use the Egg Move Tutor or the TM Move Tutor on every Pokémon Center?
    – For the Egg Move Tutor, you need 6 badges and for the TM Move Tutor, you need 8.
  • Can I change my Pokémon Abilities/Natures?
    – Yes, to change the ability of your Pokémon for the other normal Ability you need an Ability Capsule that can be bought in Oldale Town in the house behind the Pokémon Center, and for a Hidden ability you need an Ability Patch, you can get it in Pacifidlog Town in exchange for 1 Yellow Shard
  • How does [Pokémon] Evolves
    – You can check the in-game Pokédex to see how the Pokémon Evolves and a lot of other useful information(Base Stats, Abilities, Movesets, Ev Yield, etc).
  • What is the shiny rate in this game?
    – The Shiny Rate is the same as Vanilla emerald but if you want to shiny hunt, I highly recommend using the DexNav.
  • What Mythicals/Legendaries are obtainable?
    – Articuno, Moltres, Mew, Entei, Ho-oh, Lugia, Registeel, Regice, Regirock, Latios, Latias, Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Heatran, and Shaymin
