Description

The life of a Pokemon trainer includes leaving home at an early age, collecting gym badges and Pokemon, and competing in the Pokemon League. It was what everyone hoped to be at a young age, and anyone could do it with such ease.

That was over 50 years ago…​

Enter Ayrei, the first region to enter the Modern era.​ At this time, Pokemon Trainers are tasked with protecting the lives of both innocent people and Pokemon across the world. One cannot become or act as a Pokemon trainer without the proper training licensing. Against them, are the Renegades, those who claim the title of a Pokemon Trainer, yet oppose these modern laws and ideas.​

You are awoken within this region, with no memories, no Pokemon, only a name. With nowhere else to go, you are invited to Vanguard Academy, a school with only one purpose, to train the next generation of Pokemon Trainers.​

No Gyms, No Elite Four

In Project Vanguard, gyms and the Elite Four are gone. As a new recruit of the Vanguard Academy, your role is to defend the region from criminal groups, hostile wild Pokémon, and looming threats. Rise through the academy ranks, forge bonds with allies, and uncover the truth behind your mysterious past in this story-driven adventure.

Oh, that’s right, you.

An individual who’s awoken in this region with no memory of who they were before. With no where else to go, you join your newfound friend, and become a Pokemon Trainer.

New Regional Forms

The Ayrei region introduces over 300 new regional forms, evolutions, and original Pokémon. Each has been carefully designed and balanced to bring fresh strategies, unique roles, and exciting variety to your team.

Vanguard offers three distinct difficulty settings, each with carefully hand-crafted boss teams. Whether you’re a casual player or a seasoned veteran, there’s a mode tailored to provide you with an engaging and rewarding challenge.

Quality of Life

Vanguard keeps the spirit of a true adventure while cutting down on tedious tasks. EV training has been streamlined, letting you allocate points anytime from the summary screen, and customization items are easily accessible in shops.
