Description

Pokémon Exiled Emerald is an increased-difficulty ROM hack designed for players seeking a more challenging experience. Featuring Pokémon from generations 1-9, over 600 Pokémon are included in the regional dex. With tougher trainers, route bosses on each route, and unique special Pokémon, this hack caters to the Nuzlocke community while remaining enjoyable for traditional playthroughs.

As a work in progress, occasional bugs and crashes may occur, so saving often is advised.

Had low expectations upon reading comments. Was dreading yet another bread and butter Emerald RomHack. Surprisingly exceeded my expectations, Luckily sound type was not added, and instead made the starters into regional forms with new types. Sprite work would help, but its only in alpha, so can’t complain too much. Hoping for potential new map and story. Had a lot of fun playing it for the period that I did.

You should just be able to find these 3 in the wild. Starters shouldn’t evolve at Lv 40-50+ or from a trade/trade item, etc. They should ONLY evolve purely from leveling up, with no secondary requirement, and be fully evolved by Lv36. Like fuck outta here with that bullshit 😂 I like Sandile as much as the next person, but these starters mid as hell. Just as bad as fucking Snakewood, literally. It’s not even a perfect type advantage triangle. Fighting and Dark are the only ones who interact properly in this way. Whismur is literally the worst one here because normal is super-effective against fucking nothing, unless they changed that. And that would certainly be a decision. .____. Fighting strong against normal. At least dark isn’t, I guess? But normal doesn’t have any advantage against Sandile. So that’d be wack. And sound type is wack most of the time because it replaces a type I’d rather keep on that Pokémon. “Oh man did that Pokémon just speak?!?!?! MAKE IT A SOUND TYPE RIGHT NOW GUYS!!! Or I won’t sleep at night!” Stop tryna be quirky. JFC.

Exploud doesn’t look like a psychic type (also not a perfect triangle because psychic just doesn’t effect dark at all, instead of just hitting for ½ damage. Dark, Fighting and Psychic should just be secondary types for starters, IF AT ALL. And if it’s fairy type for some reason, that would be stupid because then the triangle is out the window again, that would be shitty balance. That’d be shitty for starters because it hits the other two super-effectively. LAME.

It looks more like a ghost but then it only gets hit super-effectively or not at all. But not strong against fighting, so still wack.

It’s probably sound type, and that tells me it’s strong against fighting, but weak to dark, or whatever tf the Machop and Sandile types are. That’s the only way it’d be a perfect triangle. But Ion see anything about sound type in the game. Either way, that’d be stupid. Everyone is always way too fucking generous with applying sound type to moves and Pokémon, before thinking about the actual overall gameplay or balance. They just edit the effectiveness after the fact, which just leads to overcorrecting. Being weak to sound whether it’s from getting hit, or throwing out an attack, that would just make fighting THAT MUCH more pathetic and less viable, like not worth using AT ALL. Because you can use water and grass against rock and ground, and fire and ground against steel. You rarely need supereffective damage against normal anyways. And now you’re weak against psychic, flying, AND sound which something that’d be far more common than both of those two, and one of the most common among every type in terms of moves and Pokémon types, only losing to maybe fairy type, but only in terms of Pokémon, not really moves. However many non-fairy types get fairy moves too, so same diff.
Yeah. Fighting types would lose all viability. Mostly the single types, but others too depending on their other type. Like Breloom who is really good, bar flying type matchups, would be effectively dead. Blaziken, etc etc.
Some people just be doin too much and change up the basic formula. And if it aint broken, don’t fucking fix it. SMFH. Yall wonder why we haven’t gotten any new types since Kalos, nd why the only times we’ve ever gotten new types out of 9 whole generations was twice, with dark, steel in gen 2, and fairy in gen 6. Excluding Stellar type obviously because that works differently and has special conditions. It isn’t a native type, widespread. Ugh.
So either way, whether they introduced sound to do it the way I said and have a “perfect” triangle, and ruin the game as a whole, or use one of the other types for a wholly inferior triangle, this is wack and not worth a second look. IMO.

But if yall wanna play trash, go ahead lmao, no one is stopping you.

  Dude, it’s a rom hack. It’s someone’s own creation and idea so they can make whatever changes they want. You don’t have to play it. It’s just something someone wanted to let other people try and enjoy. There may be flaws, problems, etc but there are in almost everything. How about instead of being so critical and condescending you suggest improvements and help point out flaws or bugs that may exist instead of just complaining or whining about it because that doesn’t help anyone and is really just a waste of time. These Rom Hacks are a nice chance we get to try completely different and amazing games and twist on the normal series that Game freak themselves might have never even came close to making anything even half as good in quality as some of these Rom hacks. I mean hacks like Infinite Fusion, Unbound, Glazed, Flora Sky, then the hacks that have unique twist like Rocket Edition, (you said you didn’t like snake wood and I really didn’t either), Uranium, etc. Some of them aren’t good but A lot of them are way better than anything Game freak has ever came close too, and helping people that make these is a great way to keep getting these masterpieces. This may not be your cup of tea, but no reason to **** in it for everyone else. I for one love to see new unique things added to the role hacks like new types, features, mechanics, etc and without trying them how are they ever gonna know what works and what people like so that they can build upon it before making something and spending a lot of time on something that ends up just being a flop.
  
  I’m gonna give this one a try some time and check it out. I also don’t like when the starters are changed, unless they keep the typing triangle right or they have fakemon that fit, etc. But again there’s no reason to write a whole book about how dumb and lame it is, just say the typing chart doesn’t work and you didn’t like it and maybe suggest a way to fix it. Anyways, keep making Rom Hacks and keep playing everyone.
