Description

Pokemon Colors is a unique reimagining of LeafGreen built around a single premise: Pokémon typings are determined entirely by their sprite colors. Every Pokémon has been retyped based on its LeafGreen sprite, with movepools and, in some cases, abilities redesigned to fit their new identities. This shift creates a fresh and unpredictable experience where old strategies no longer apply.

The game also includes the physical-special split, revamped encounters, and fully reworked trainer battles to keep gameplay balanced and engaging. To add more life to the world, many NPCs now have new dialogue, offering humor, flavor, and extra personality. With its bold rethinking of the Pokémon formula, Colors delivers a distinct adventure that feels both familiar and brand-new.

Features

  • Color-Based Types: The main feature of the hack, where each Pokemon’s type has been changed to reflect the colors of its LeafGreen sprite.
  • Completely reworked encounter tables, ensuring most Pokémon can be found and caught before the Elite Four.
  • Every trainer battle has been redesigned, adding Pokémon from Generations 2 and 3 and giving boss teams more variety and challenge.
  • Balanced difficulty so both casual players and challenge seekers can enjoy the game.
  • Extensive documentation is provided, including Pokémon changes, encounter tables, and full trainer battle data.
  • A custom damage calculator is available for Nuzlocke players, with a usage guide included.
  • Many Pokémon have received stat buffs alongside their new typings, ensuring balance across the roster.
  • A Classic Mode is also included for those who prefer no stat changes, while still keeping all other features.

Creator Note

Pokemon Colors has been in the works for a really long time and we’re really excited to finally release it. So we are really looking forward to people enjoying the game and thank you very much for checking Pokemon Colors out!
