Description
Aesthetic Red is a FireRed ROM hack that takes a very different approach to reinventing the Kanto journey. This is not just another enhancement hack that tries to cram in as many features as possible.
Instead, Aesthetic Red focuses on the visual and musical experience of Pokémon. The entire game has been reworked with vibrant new graphics inspired by the DS and Game Boy eras, along with a completely new soundtrack chosen to create a fresh and immersive atmosphere. On top of that, the gameplay has also been enhanced with quality-of-life improvements, an open-world structure, major rebalancing, and more.

Version Differences
- Normal Version: Full game with new music, graphics and features
- Faithful Version: Same as above but without rebalancing (official Base Stats, Abilities, Learnsets, Type Changes and Type Table)
- Music & Graphics Only: New music and graphics while keeping the vanilla gameplay
Normal and Faithful Versions come with 2 Patches, so you can play with either GBC or DS Font and Battle Sprites.
Note: While some players will prefer the vanilla balance, we recommend playing Normal Version to fully experience the boss teams as designed, as Faithful Version loses new Ability changes, reducing boss difficulty.
Recommended Emulators
mGBA, Pizza Boy or Delta, without BIOS.
