Description
Pokemon JetBlack is an enhancement hack designed to improve the experience of the original Gen 5 games while staying true to their spirit. The main campaign remains faithful to the Unova Dex, only Gen 5 Pokémon are available during your journey, but with expanded wild encounters, updated trainer rosters, and subtle tweaks to keep the adventure fresh. Built with a love for Unova, JetBlack aims to refine and enhance without losing what made the originals special.
Features
- Expanded wild encounters for more diverse team-building, with many Pokémon available earlier in the game.
- Updated stats and learnsets, including Egg Moves, B2W2 tutor moves, and a few new options (ex: Earth Power Serperior, Slack Off Emboar, Shell Smash Samurott).
- Hidden Abilities added to several Pokémon without changing their original types.
- New and rebalanced moves from later generations, including Liquidation, Mystical Fire, Lumina Crash, and an improved Rock Wrecker.
- Revamped trainer rosters with added variety. Gym Leaders and bosses use new strategies, items, and Pokémon.
- 17 new battles: 4 during the main story (rewarding useful items) and 13 post-game, including Gym Leader rematches and the Striaton Brothers.
- Two new explorable areas: Dreamyard Basement and Challenger’s Cave, now scaled down with trainers and items.
- Trade evolutions removed for accessibility.
- HMs are unlearnable (v1.2).
- Keldeo, Meloetta, and Genesect are now encounterable in the post-game (v1.3), with Liberty Garden accessible using the Liberty Pass.
- Berry Bundle Sellers added across Unova (v1.4), selling restoration, pinch, resist, and exotic berries.
- Every Pokémon is now obtainable within JetBlack (v1.5).
- Complete documentation provided, including Pokémon changes, encounters, and trainer rosters.
