Pokemon Fire Ash is a fan-made Pokémon game. It took approximately two years to complete and is still being updated in its fifth year. It was designed using RPG Maker XP and Pokemon Essentials.

Description

The plot of the game is loosely based on Ash Ketchum’s adventures in the anime. You travel from Kanto to Alola, including the Orange Islands and the Battle Frontier adventure, all in the style of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen versions.

You will be able to battle Ash’s traveling companions and rivals, recreate his team, and explore the vast world of Pokémon in the game. It has over 50 gyms and over 800 Pokémon.

Qol Changes and Improvements:

  • Added a way to teleport to towns which don’t have Pokémon Centers in Sinnoh (connecting Twinleaf Town, Veilstone City, Valor Lakefront and Celestic Town)
  • Added a PC to Kukui’s Lab
  • Added a move tutor for Focus Punch at Hoenn Battle Frontier
  • Galarian Fossils can be bought at Aether Paradise after doing the event where Ash gets a Dracovish
  • Added Common Candy, which decreases the level of a Pokémon by 1 and added a vendor to Pallet Town after becoming the Orange League Champion (use with caution – the levels for certain trainers’ Pokémon don’t reset!)
  • Stopped disabling Fly after becoming Orange League Champion
  • Rotom Phone can now tell you where to go during the Journeys arc by using it
  • Furfrou can get trims at Lumiose Art Museum
  • Reduced the price of PP Maxes in Johto Game Corner
  • Items can now be bought in bulk in Game Corners
  • Items in the bag can now be sorted by alphabetical order (use the quick save key – default is left alt)
  • Move animations have been updated yet again, including a new custom animation for Battle Bond’s transformation

Issues fixed:

  • The soft lock on Kalos Route 8 in the “To be a Pokémon Master” arc has been fixed by reducing the offending trainer’s line of sight
  • Fix a soft lock occurring when trying to enter Stow-on-Side from Glimwood Tangle in the “To be a Pokémon Master” arc
  • Fix the Cut move tutor on Kalos Route 11 talking to the player from a distance
  • Fix the portal to Ultra Ruin in the postgame, where it could crash the game
  • Fix a soft lock occurring when losing to the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage
  • Fix the Town Map showing that the player is in Kanto in Cherrygrove Pokémon Center
  • Fix being able to see into another house in Geosenge Town
  • Fix Enamorus not respawning after beating the Masters 8 rematch
  • Officer Jennys having the wrong speech colour
  • Fix Sun animation not showing up in battle
  • Fix Morrison having the incorrect team when doing his non league rematch in the postgame
  • Fix the battle against Alain instantly restarting when you lose to him at the Kalos League finals
  • If both parents had power items, both corresponding IVs are now passed down instead of just 1 of them
  • Fix Delia having the wrong sprite at the Alola League
  • Fix Gengar in Cerise’s Lab not getting turned into an egg at a certain point during the Journeys arc
  • Fix being able to select other Pokémon other than Milcery for the chefs in Ballonlea Stadium
  • Fix being able to fish in unintended places (mainly puddles in towns) and not being able to fish on specific tiles
  • Fix an issue, where if you have an egg before having a Pokémon with an OW move, it would cause the wrong sprites to show up in the Ready Menu (the menu where you use your registered items)
  • Fix an issue with using an Enigma Berry in battle
  • Fix a visual glitch with wild Pokémon using U-turn and Volt Switch
  • Fix a visual glitch when the user misses a 2 turn move where it became semi-invulnerable (e.g. Fly, Dig)
  • Fix the stats screen not updating the colour of the stat names when changing a Pokémon’s nature
  • Fix the game potentially crashing as the Masters 8 opening ceremony starts
  • Fix Rillaboom, Cinderace and Inteleon not being able to learn Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn and Hydro Cannon respectively
  • Fix Cramorant not changing form when using Dive
  • Fix Gastly having Cloyster’s description in the Pokédex
  • Fix Vivillon’s forms having another form’s shiny icon
  • Fix graphical issues when immediately entering and exiting a building due to having multiple followers (thank you Kraegon! x4)
  • Fix some nicknames being butchered because of Essentials (thank you Kraegon! x5). Achieved by having them be resized or truncated when they’re too long
  • Fix the save file in the first save slot being the only one to able to overwrite game options – game options are now shared across all save files so now any save file can overwrite them! (thank you Kraegon x6!)
  • Fix a graphical issue where, if you were cycling before fishing, fishing after the first time wouldn’t update the player’s sprite properly (thank you Kay!)

Grandeur Club Changes:

  • Added ??? challenge, which is only unlockable under certain conditions
  • Added Hisui and Galar as possible regions to challenge in Practice and Club
  • Items can be bought in bulk in the Vending Machine in the lobby
  • Virus codes have been adjusted to decrease IVs by 1 instead of setting them to 0
  • Changed certain Serperiors to have Contrary than Overgrow
  • Added a check to ensure that the player has a certain pass before being able to do certain battles
  • Fix Frontier trainers causing the player to black out when losing in Gauntlet Challenge
  • Fix certain instances of the Mayhem Challenge showing that the player obtained a key when they didn’t
  • Overhauled the mechanics of Sync challenge:
  • Damage taken by all Pokémon is reduced to 25% of its original value and adjusted trainers to use passives more effectively. This is to change it from being an OHKO or get OHKO’ed fest to more interesting battles where the gimmicks of every trainer can be showcased
  • To accommodate for the above, a certain amount of HP and PP can be restored for every Pokémon in your party after every battle by talking to Nurse Joy once buffs have been unlocked
  • New buffs have been added (last 3 require all initial buffs to be bought first):
  • HP Recovery Lv. 1-3: Increase HP restored by Nurse Joy
  • PP Recovery Lv. 1-3: Increase PP restored by Nurse Joy
  • Status Recovery: Nurse Joy heals status conditions. Costs 3 energy
  • Status Immunity: Your Pokémon are immune to status conditions. Costs 4 energy
  • Interference Immunity: Your Pokémon are immune to flinching, being trapped or confused. Costs 3 energy
  • Highest Vigilance: Your Pokémon won’t receive critical hits for 999 turns (effectively the whole battle). Costs 3 energy
  • The Vending Machine can no longer be used after doing the first battle in the challenge
  • More Sync and Titan challenge changes:
  • Added a new Vending Machine in Sync and Titan challenges, which can give the opponent buffs to make the battle harder. In return, you gain more GC Credits if you complete the challenge. It can’t be used after doing the first battle in the challenge.
  • Fix stat buffs/debuffs for the opponents getting skipped in Sync and Titan challenge
  • Fix various trainer moves having increased priority when they shouldn’t
  • Gave SS Blue, Leaf and Giovanni Trainer Moves
  • SS Hau’s Trainer Move now buffs Tapu Koko’s Sp. Atk by 4 stages (like in Pokémon Masters) rather than 2
  • SS Mina’s Tapu Fini’s Sea Deity Protect now only has 1 PP instead of 10 PP
  • SS N’s Black Kyurem’s Resonating Noble Roar now only has 3 PP instead of 30 PP and can’t be used before it uses Freeze Shock
  • Added animations to B-Moves which correspond to their original move

Misc.:

  • The Cable Club has been nuked as we don’t want to fund the servers anymore
  • Put Muk upstairs in Oak’s Lab rather than in the Corral to be more anime accurate
  • Made Lake of Rage bigger and changed the pathing of the shortcut on Route 205
  • Most trainers will now reserve their last Pokémon until the end of the battle
  • Rebalanced the battle against Eternamax Eternatus: It (and Meowth) will stay Dynamaxed for the entire battle, but it is now at level 40 (from 50)
  • Changed the title screen’s BGM to the first anime opening theme!
  • Massively reduced the game’s size by making use of ogg file metadata to loop BGM and to trim down on their length!
